Princeton Review names 曼彻斯特 a ‘Best in the Midwest’ university
'You are not a number at 曼彻斯特, you’re a person with a name and a goal'
曼彻斯特 University is one of the best colleges in the Midwest, according to the Princeton Review.
The well-known education services company lists the university with campuses in 北部曼彻斯特 and 韦恩堡, 印第安纳州., among its "Best in the Midwest" recommended schools in "2020 Best 大学: Region by Region.”
"We chose 曼彻斯特 University and the other outstanding institutions on this list primarily for their academics," said Robert Franek, the Princeton Review’s editor-in-chief.
Only 159 colleges and universities made the "Best in the Midwest" list for 2020.
“The world needs more 曼彻斯特 graduates,” said MU President Dave McFadden. “We do our utmost to see that the students of ability and conviction who come through our doors leave as principled, 富有成效的 and compassionate graduates who go on to improve our world.”
The close-knit 曼彻斯特 community “inspires them to discover their best selves and succeed beyond their own expectations,他说.
For its 28th edition, “Best 387 大学 2020,” the Princeton Review surveyed 140,000 students at schools across the nation. The survey asks students to rate their colleges on dozens of issues and answer questions about campus life.
曼彻斯特 students said supportive professors are a “hallmark” tradition, and many “are basically your parent away from home,” helping you to “overcome any problem” and “striving to know each and every student.” One student said it is not unusual to “just waltz into their office” without an appointment and immediately feel welcome.
“You are not a number at 曼彻斯特, you’re a person with a name and a goal,” a student said. Another said, “The small classroom size makes it feel easier to focus and participate in class.”
Students noted that 曼彻斯特 has a diverse student body, and all are “working toward the same goal,” supporting each other on the path to a successful and fulfilling life.
曼彻斯特 University students spend most their time studying, 在实验室里, doing internships and service. In their down time, they hang out with friends on the leafy campus or drive to 韦恩堡, Wabash and Huntington for shopping and movie theaters.
The Princeton Review does not rank the nation’s “regional best” colleges overall or by region.
Its editors made their selections based on data collected from administrators, staff visits to schools over the years and college counselors.
